Health Ministry decides to expand list of COVID-19 vaccine priority groups (Mehdi)

(TAP) – The list of COVID-19 vaccine priority groups will be expanded to include a number of people with chronic diseases, Minister of Health Faouzi Mehdi said Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference, he added that priority to the vaccine will also be given to people with cancer diseases in phase of chemotherapy treatment, candidates for organ transplantation, patients on dialysis, pregnant women (16th week) and people with cardiovascular diseases.

The minister said patients with chronic diseases can apply for priority for the vaccine on the evax platform, adding these applications will be reviewed and evaluated by a team of specialists.
