Gafsa: Japanese automotive components manufacturer plans to create 700 new jobs

(TAP) - Yazaki, the Japanese manufacturer of automotive components based in Gafsa, plans to expand its activities in the region with an additional operational capacity that will generate 700 new jobs, Makrem Khalifa, regional director of the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), told TAP.

'This decision to expand its activities in the region comes after the Gafsa production unit was ranked first in terms of quality among the company's 48 branches in several countries,' he pointed out.

Currently, the Japanese manufacturer provides nearly 2100 jobs in the region, including workers, technicians and executives, recalled Khalifa, adding 'its operational capacity will increase to 2800 positions.'
