Employment Ministry willing to strengthen cooperation with UNHCR in refugees employment and training (Minister)

(TAP) - Minister of Employment and Vocational Training Nasreddine Nsibi, on Tuesday, stressed the ministry's readiness to bolster cooperation with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in the field of employment and training of refugees.

At a meeting with UNHCR Representative in Tunisia Hanen Hamden at the end of her mission, Nsibi stated the readiness of the department to work towards an effective cooperation programme.

The Minister emphasised the need to establish new mechanisms to deal with issues related to refugees and asylum seekers, said a ministry statement.

For her part, Hanen Hamdan commended the level of cooperation with the ministry and the Tunisian government in dealing with the file of refugees and asylum seekers, particularly with regard to their integration in the labour market in Tunisia.
