Quality health service is right of all Tunisian citizens (Mrabet)

(TAP) - Health Minister Ali Mrabet said on Wednesday that 'quality health services are a right of every Tunisian citizen, wherever he is, not only in big cities but also in the interior and in remote areas.

The minister made this statement during a visit, together with Dutch ambassador to Tunisia, Josephine Frantzen, and World Health Organization ( WHO) representative in Tunisia, Ibrahim Ezzik, to the regional hospital, Salim Hadhri in Kerkennah, where he inaugurated an oxygen generator donated by the Dutch side through the World Health Organization.

During the visit, the minister also inspected a number of new achievements at the regional hospital Salim Hadhri on Kerkennah Island, including a second operating room, an emergency generator with a capacity of 250 m2, the refurbishment of the medical resuscitation department, and a project to renovate the emergency department, currently under study.

Mrabet stressed, in a statement to the media on the occasion, the importance of the new health projects in Kerkennah, in particular the oxygen generator, which will cover the needs of the city of Kerkennah and the neighbouring regions, praising the cooperation between the Ministry of Health and its international partners.
