Djerba Francophonie Summit will be a success (OIF S-G.)

(TAP) - Secretary General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF)

Louise Mushikiwabo said the 18th edition of the Francophonie Summit to be hosted by Djerba “will be a great success thanks to the efforts made by all parties and structures in Tunisia and the participation of a large number of delegations from Francophone countries.”

Tourism Minister Mohamed Moez Belhassine welcomed the Secretary General of the OIF and the delegation accompanying her, at the International Airport of Djerba-Zarzis on Saturday evening.

The minister briefed Mushikiwabo about the last preparations for the organization of the summit, emphasising that all the necessary conditions have been provided to guarantee the success of this global event.

He pointed out that all tourist facilities are preparing to accommodate and receive guests from Tunisia, whether in the various tourist accommodation institutions, the Francophone village, tourist restaurants, official tourist routes and the headquarters of the organisation of the summit.

The Francophonie summit will be held on November 19-20, in Djerba, on the theme 'Connectivity in Diversity: Digital Technology, Vector of Development and Solidarity in the Francophone Space.”

On the sidelines of this summit, the Economic Forum of La Francophonie will be held. It will see an 'EFF Djerba 2022' prize awarded to start-ups that stood out internationally for their efforts and active contribution to achieving the development goals in the Francophone space.
