November 3, 2022

(TAP) - Some 30 Tunisian businessmen from various sectors are partaking on November 1-6 in a business mission in the Czech Republic, in a bid to foster bilateral economic partnership.

Organised by the Tunisian Confederation of Citizen Enterprises (CONECT), this mission will offer the occasion for these business leaders to explore investment opportunities in the main Czech cities, namely Prague, Brno and Zlin.

Meetings with Czech government officials and businessmen are also scheduled as part of this mission, organised in collaboration with Tunisia's embassy in Prague, Czech Republic's embassy in Tunis, the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Czech Confederation of Industry.

The Tunisian delegation will also make field visits in several international factories, where they will meet with Czech businessmen with a view to establish strategic partnerships.

They will also take part in the Tunisian-Czech Business Forum, which will focus on the development of trade between both countries.

Trade between the two countries rose by 31.1% in 2020, to TND 560 million, according to data provided by the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX) executive officer.

These exchanges mainly involve the agri-food, textile, electronic components and spare parts sectors. A Czech car brand is also represented in Tunisia.
