National campaign to obtain digital mobile ID launched

September 10, 2022

(TAP) - A national campaign to obtain mobile identity was officially launched by Minister of Communication Technologies Nizar Ben Neji Friday in Tunis.

This campaign will soon expand to all regions across the country.

More particularly, it seeks to raise public awareness about the mobile identity, a digital service launched for the general public last August 3 to ease access to various online administrative services.

This service will make it possible to check the identity and the electronic signature when citizens need to extract official documents online.

The goal of this initiative is to break with bureaucratic practices and thereby ensure required efficiency, quality and transparency of transactions.

The mobile identity project fits into a national strategy and major reforms undertaken by the government in its effort to digitise services made available to citizens.
