Agreement on hiring yearly 4000 seasonal young tourism workers in France signed

TAP) - Director General of the National Agency for Employment Férihane Korbi Boussoffara and president of the French Union of Hotel Trades and Industries, Roland Héguy, on Wednesday, signed a cooperation agreement in the field of youth employment.

The agreement provides for the opening of the job market in the tourism and hotel services in France to 4,000 young Tunisian men and women each year for a period of three years, renewable, and for a specified seasonal period. At the end of that period the beneficiary returns to Tunisia to work in the tourism sector or to launch projects in the sector.

The agreement was signed at the City of Culture in Tunis under the chairmanship of Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Nasreddine Nsibi and Minister of Tourism Mohamed Moez Belhassen and in the presence of Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Ezzahi and Governor of Tunis Kamel El-Feki,

The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training said the agreement crowns the efforts of the Ministry to open new horizons for young Tunisians and enable them to acquire the best skills.

It also seeks to combat unemployment through seasonal work in the tourism and hospitality sector in France.

The National Employment Agency will in July open registration for training up to six months for applicants for employment in France, said Férihane Korbi Boussoffara.

Roland Héguy said the French union of Hotel Trades and Industries of the represents 320,000 companies employing 2 million people, stressing that seasonal employees in the hotel sector will be paid in accordance with collective agreements in force.
