Monastir: Towards developing tourist circuit guide

(TAP) - The opening of hotel units on their environment, was the focus of a working session held Friday by the Regional Commissioner of Tourism in Monastir, during which, were presented new programmes related to the theme in question.

In a statement to TAP, Regional Commissioner of Tourism in Monastir, Faouaz Ben Halima said that these programmes include the abolition, by the year 2025, the use of plastic in hotels in the region, the integration of artisans in hotel units, the organisation of tourist days of crafts, fashion shows, tasting sessions of local food products, etc.

For her part, representative of the association 'Active Citizens for Development', Ameni Gaaloul spoke on this occasion of a project implemented in partnership with the Regional Commissioner for Tourism in Monastir, the Regional Federation of Hotels and the municipality of Monastir, which consists of the development of a guide to tourist routes in the region, available on paper and electronic media with multimedia content.

The association focuses, also, in collaboration with the supervisory authorities, on a project to install urban signs in the tourist area, the Marina and the ancient city, at a cost of over 29 thousand dinars, added the same source.
