Monastir: Renovation of discoveries pavilion of Palais Des Sciences

(TAP) - The new pavilion of discoveries at the Palais des Sciences of Monastir was inaugurated Wednesday in the presence of the first delegate in charge of current affairs of the governorate of Monastir and the Turkish ambassador to Tunisia.

The project, worth 300 thousand dinars, was funded by the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (TIKA) as part of a bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Director General of the Palais des Sciences of Monastir, Salah Nasr told TAP.

The work of this project was launched since 2017 with the aim of upgrading the Palais des Sciences and reducing the digital divide between developed and developing countries, said the same source

The renovation of this space has been embodied through the acquisition and implementation of technological equipment such as interactive panels that provide visitors with information on the themes of astronomy, the human body, oceanology and other scientific disciplines.

At the opening ceremony, Turkish Ambassador to Tunisia Caglar Fahri Cakiralp noted the importance of this project which is among the 200 projects funded by TIKA in Tunisia and reflects the common interest of both countries for research and science.
