May 25, 2022

TAP) - The result of the budget balance is a surplus of 46.2 million dinars (MD), during the first two months of the year 2022, against a deficit of 153.1 MD, during the same period of 2021, according to the note of 'Provisional results of the execution of the State Budget (February 2022)', published Tuesday, by the Ministry of Finance.

This improvement is explained by the growth of budgetary resources of 10.4%, from 5 billion dinars, at the end of February 2021, to 5.5 billion dinars, in February 2022, thanks to the increase in tax revenues of 9.8%, to 5.3 billion dinars. These revenues represent 95.3% of budgetary resources.

Similarly, the budgetary expenses went up by 7%, to 5.5 billion dinars, following the positive evolution of intervention expenses of 45%, to 859 MD, and investment expenses of 36%, to 321 MD. The expenses of financing (interests of the debt) have, in their turn, risen of 13,4 %, to 881 MD.

According to the Ministry of Finance, cash resources have declined by 31.5%, to the level of 1.3 billion dinars, against 1.9 billion dinars, in February 2021. These resources have been mobilised mainly, to repay the principal of the debt.
