Tourism Minister promotes Tunisian destination in Germany

TAP) - Tourism and Handicrafts Minister Mohamed Moez Belhassine made a working visit to Germany on April 11 and 12 to promote the Tunisian destination in European markets.

During this visit, the Minister had a meeting with President of the German Travel Association (DRV) Norbert Fiebig, who was accompanied by the Director of International Relations at the Union Volker Adams, as well as representative of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andreas Fiedler and representative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development Annette Kaiser.

This meeting focused on ways to promote the Tunisian destination in Germany and the preparations ahead of the annual Congress of the DRV (Destination Forum 2022), scheduled for next May in Tozeur with the participation of 100 TO and German travel agencies and German journalists.

The Minister also had meetings with German media and opened a virtual meeting dedicated to promoting the Tunisian destination in Germany.

This event, which was attended by over 100 TOs and German tour operators, was an opportunity for the Minister to present the post-COVID recovery plan for Tunisian tourism and present the new tourist offer in Tunisia, particularly in the field of sustainable tourism, the health protocol specific to the tourism sector and the preparations for the next tourist season.
