Minister of Tourism holds talks with French and Jordanian officials on post-COVID revival

(TAP)-Tourism and Handicrafts Minister Mohamed Moez Belhassine on Tuesday afternoon held talks by VTC with Travel Companies President Jean-Pierre Mas, during which he briefed him the health situation in the country, pointing out the improvement recorded thanks to the considerable increase in the number of vaccinated citizens.
Besides, he also indicated that the employees of the various tourist establishments are fully vaccinated, recalling the existence of a health protocol specific to the tourist sector. This protocol has proved to be effective, which is a guarantee for the safety of Tunisian and foreign tourists.

Jean-Pierre Mas underlined for his part, the importance of the Tunisian destination for French tourists, affirming commitment to convince the French authorities to place Tunisia in the green list following the improvement of the health situation and the enforcement of the tourist sector's health protocol.

Belhassine also had a talk with his Jordanian counterpart Nayef al-Fayez. talk
The two ministers ha reviewed on the occasion, the outcome of the preparatory meeting held between the two sides on November 3, 2021, during which it had been decided to form four joint working teams in the fields of handicrafts, tourism promotion and marketing, tourism training and the diversification of the tourist offer.

They affirmed that these joint teams will help develop the tourism cooperation programs between the two countries in the best interest of the two brotherly peoples.

The two ministers also stressed the need to draw up joint programs to promote the two countries' tangible and intangible heritages.
They also agreed on the importance of developing the air service between the two countries in order to facilitate the movement of tourists and economic actors.
