Promotion of Sustainable Tourism in Tunisia project: La marche Carthaginoise on November 7

(TAP)- La Marche Carthaginoise (the Carthaginian walk) will be held on November 7 by Kolna nemchiw civil society organisation, in collaboration with the municipality of Carthage and the Agency for Heritage Enhancement and Cultural promotion (French: AMVPPC).

A thematic walk and tours of monuments, particularly the Roman amphitheatre, are on the agenda.

The event is supported by the Promotion of Sustainable Tourism in Tunisia project which is co-funded by European Union and commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), as part of Tounes Wijhetouna programme. The latter is implemented by German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).

Tounes Wijhetouna is geared towards contributing to Tunisia's sustainable and inclusive economic development. It provides technical support to tourism professionals with a view to developing products related to cultural tourism, culinary tourism and outdoor tourism in Carthage, Médina de Tunis, Tozeur, etc.
