First domestic flight lands in Tozeur-Nefta airport after six-month shutdown-Tunisia

(TAP)- Tozeur-Nefta airport saw its first domestic flight land Tuesday after a six-month shutdown for restoration. The airport started operating partly on October 18.

Domestic flights will run through October with three scheduled per week, Governor of Tozeur Mohamed Aymen Bjeaoui told TAP.

Partial airport operations will help revive tourism along with cultural ansd sports events and the progress of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout (60%), the official further said.

The airport will reopen for international travel by late December
