Saied urges addressing all irregularities in grain import

August 8, 2021

(TAP) - President Kais Saied called at a meeting with CEO of the Grain Office Bechir Kethiri Thursday on all executives and employees of the office to address all irregularities in grain import.

It is inadmissible to undermine the livelihood of Tunisians, Saied reiterated, saying the law will be applied on all those who attempt to do it or try to set fire to fields and forests, said a statement from the Presidency.

However, the Head of State assured that there are honest people in all state agencies who will create a new history for Tunisia.

He also said that no one has been arrested for his opinions, stressing that the rights and freedoms have not been violated.

Saied underlined that there is no way to go back and that there will be dialogue only with sincere people who endorsed people's demands.
