COVID-19: opening of 8 additional vaccination centres (Ministry of Health)

TAP) - Eight additional COVID-19 vaccination centres have been opened recently, the Ministry of Health announced Tuesday.

This takes the overall number of centres to 47 in different regions of the country, said the same source.

The new centres are in Hammam Chott (Ben Arous), Mareth (Gabes), Bardo and Sidi Hassine (Tunis), Soukra and Raoued (Ariana), Regueb (Sidi Bouzid) and Kerkennah (Sfax).

The opening of these centers aims to increase the pace of vaccination of citizens, said the same source.

Other centres are expected to come into operation throughout the national vaccination campaign launched on March 13.

The Ministry of Health called on the various people registered on the e-vax platform to respect the date and time of vaccination to ensure the vaccination procedure in the best conditions.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, the number of COVID-19 vaccines administered 45 days after the start of the jab drive is estimated at 330,000.
