April 1, 2021

(TAP) - The activity of the Anglo Tunisian Oil and Gas (ATOG) in Tunisia and the resolution of some problems it is facing, were at the centre of the meeting, on Wednesday, between Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi, and UK ambassador in Tunis, Edward Oakden in the presence of ATOG's CEO, Jonathan Taylor and its managing director James Berwick.

The PM expressed his support for the creation of effective economic diplomacy, underlining the need to sustain foreign investments and to overcome the difficulties faced by investors to create new jobs, a statement of the Prime Ministry reads.

ATOG officials commended the government's support for investment, saying that ATOG plans to develop its field of activity and strengthen its investments in Tunisia, to extend them to the field of renewable energy.
