Tunisia hopes to host 7th Arab Forum for Housing and Urban Development (Minister of Public Works)
TAP) - Minister of Public Works, Housing and Infrastructure Kamel Doukh, on Monday, stated Tunisia’s desire to host the 7th Arab Forum for Housing and Urban Development in 2027.
In remarks delivered to the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction during the 37th session held Monday by VTC due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he added that this event is an opportunity for Tunisia to host Arab countries.
Doukh said the council of Arab ministers of housing has made significant achievements in the field of joint Arab action.
The 37th session could lead to decisions that serve Arab citizens, especially the low and middle income groups to meet their housing needs.
The 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction, held in 2015, had adopted Tunisia's proposal to host the 37th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction.
The Council also approved Tunisia's request to host the 6th Arab Housing Conference (December 22 and 23, 2020), on policies and strategies to develop slums and limit their expansion.
