September 29, 2020

TAP) - Tunisair Express will resume its flights to Tozeur as of October 1, 2020, after the completion of work at the Tozeur-Nefta International Airport and its reopening to air traffic, the company announced on Monday.

Flights of Tunisair Express will be operated at a rate of two weekly frequencies on Thursdays and Sundays and will be operated by its brand new aircraft.

The scheduling of these flights is part of the mission of Tunisair Express to open up the regions.

It also fits into its usual approach of unwavering support to the tourism sector and especially Saharan tourism in the south-west region, the same source said.

'The choice of Thursdays and Sundays as days of operation of flights is dictated by the commercial expectations of international tour operators and local travel agencies, especially during the high tourist season which extends in this region between autumn and spring'.

The flights will also allow local residents and economic operators of the region to reach the capital with greater ease, explained Tunisair Express.

Tunisair Express' fleet currently consists of ATR 72-600 aircraft equipped with the latest generation turboprop engines, which entered into operation in the last quarter of 2019.

They offer optimum comfort conditions thanks to their state-of-the-art cabin configuration, 45 cm wide seats and more spacious baggage storage areas.

Passengers are required to strictly apply the health protocol in force during the entire phase of the trip, including the mandatory wearing of masks in accordance with current regulations in order to protect passengers, flight and ground staff, the company wishes to point out.
