September 20, 2022

(TAP) - After the signing of the agreement between the government and the UGTT on wage increases, all procedures are completed to present to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) a complete file including major reforms, Government Spokesman, Nasreddine Nsibi, on Monday told TAP.

According to him, the file is technically admissible after the Tunisian government has met the various conditions required.

The file is in the process of being approved by the IMF's Staff Level Agreement, Nsibi said, estimating that the file will be approved in the coming weeks.

'We are continuing the dialogue and negotiations at a distance with the IMF's technical staff,' he said, affirming that the Tunisian authorities' file meets all the required conditions.
