German tour operators in Tunisia to explore its tourist potential

(TAP)-Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Mohamed Moez Belhassine on Tuesday received a delegation of German tour operators who are currently visiting Tunisia to explore its tourist potential and to take cognizance of the tourist sector's health protocol.

The minister underlined on the occasion, the importance of this visit which will help further promote the Tunisian destination in Germany and in Europe, and to publicize the potentialities of the Tunisian regions in the field of alternative, ecological, cultural and craft tourism.

He also presented to the German tourism professionals the action plan aimed at relaunching the tourist activity for the post-COVID period, by laying emphasis on 'the preventive health measures provided for by the health protocol specific to the Tunisian tourist sector and firmly applied in all the tourist establishments, as well as on the measures included in the health protocol specific to museums and historical sites.'

After the meeting, the German delegation visited the Medina of Tunis to discover its tourist assets and the handicrafts offered by its souks. The delegation will also visit other regions of Tunisia to discover their tourist potential.
