The two prizes were awarded by Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi at a ceremony held at the Government Palace in Kasbah, on the National Day of Handicraft and Traditional Dress and in the presence of Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Habib Ammar, and the President of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts Samir Majoul,

He also helped to mentor several students specialising in design and sustainable development, 'one of which has become an exporter of pottery.'
