External debt service fell by 62% as of January 10, 2021 (BCT)

(TAP) – Cumulated external debt services fell by nearly 62% during the first ten days of January 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, stabilising at 57.8 million dinars (MD), according to the latest statistics published Wednesday by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).

In turn, tourism incomes declined by 56%, as of January 10, 2021, to stand at the level of 48.4 million dinars (MD).

As for the cumulated work incomes, they slightly increased by 2%, from 163 MD to 167 MD, in January.

Net foreign exchange assets remain at a high level, exceeding 23.1 billion dinars (162 days of imports) on 13 January 2021, against 19.4 billion dinars (111 days of imports) on the same date last year.
