Financial transfers: Tunisian Post Office adopts SWIFT GPI technology

(TAP)– The Tunisian Post (PT) has joined the Swift Global Payment Innovation (SWIFT GPI), which places it among the first national financial institutions and the first African postal institution to adopt this blockchain technology, the PT announced in a statement on Monday.

This technology allows instant monitoring of operations initiated via SWIFT and guarantees a better quality of service offered to the customers of the Tunisian Post, the statement said.

'SWIFT GPI guarantees Tunisian Post's customers increased speed in the processing of international payments, transparency on charges, end-to-end tracking and the availability of information in real-time throughout the transfer stages.'

This initiative undertaken by the PT is in line with its strategic guidelines for the digitisation of services.

'Thanks to this innovative tool, the Tunisian Post Office will strengthen its relationship with its corporate customers as well as Tunisians residing abroad who constitute a clientele of predilection, the statement pointed out.
