Call for projects on restoration, conservation of degraded ecosystems to be launched (ministry)
(TAP)- The Water joint programming initiative (JPI) and BiodivERsA network will launch a call for projects on the theme of restoration and conservation of degraded ecosystems and their biodiversity. Special focus will be put on aquatic ecosystems, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientfic Research said.
The joint call, BiodivRestore, will support the following three themes: the study of biophysical and biological processes involved in the restoration/conservation and their interaction, the evaluation of synergies and trade-offs beween goals, benefits and policies of conservation and restoration, the development of knowledge for increased efficiency and wider deployment of conservation and restoration actions
Aquatic ecosystems are a priority, mainly fresh water ecosystem. Yet, other terrestrial, marine and freshwater environments areeligible under this call for projects cofinanced by the European Union and 28 partner countries, including Tunisia.
