WB ready to continue its support for Tunisia Youth Economic Inclusion Project - Moubadiroun” (country director)

TAP) - The World Bank is ready to continue its support for the implementation of the Tunisia Youth Economic Inclusion Project –Moubadiroun and back the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Professional Integration in all projects related to the promotion of vocational training, employment and entrepreneurship, WB Country Manager for Tunisia, Tony Verheijen said at his meeting with Minister Kamel Deguiche.

The 'Moubadiroun' project, funded by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for unemployed people aged 18 to 35 years among low-income families aims to implement an integrated approach to boost employment opportunities for youth in seven governorates, namely, Manouba, Kebili, Jendouba, Kasserine, Kairouan, Sfax and Siliana.

The meeting held Monday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth followed up on that project and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the WB in the field of vocational training and employment and support for entrepreneurship, said a ministry statement.

Deguiche committed to overcome all difficulties and problems that hinder the progress of the implementation of the project.

In this regard, he stressed the importance of the relations with the WB, 'a key partner in supporting projects and programmes in the area of vocational training and employment'.
